Picnic on the beach & it's only March !!!

My friend Debbie came over this morning to use the computer & as it was such a glorious, sunny day I suggested, if she had no other plans, that we should have a picnic. We had promised her daughter, Simone that we would have one some time & today seemed ideal. Everyone was in agreement so we raided our fridges & cupboards for picnic food & picked up a few additional supplies from the supermarket. We decided to head for Kalamaki beach which is such a lovely spot. Here you can see me with Simone & as you can see by the summer attire the day was very warm.

It was a really enjoyable way to spend the afternoon. There were very few other people about & we both remarked how different the beach will be in a couple of months time once the season starts.




After our picnic we all returned to Debbie's house & before long found ourselves playing an evening of games with Simone.

First 'Hungry Hippos' & as the night went on we had some very competitive games of Jenga.




Just look at the concentration.













A very enjoyable evening.

I suggested that if the weather was forecast to be as good the next day, how about us going walking up Mount Skopos - my next post will show you the result of that suggestion.
